It would also be eligible for tax deductions. It also would make City Hyde Park eligible for certain tax credits, including income tax. Joining the enterprise zone would allow Silliman to save millions of dollars on sales tax for building materials and some utilities. If the state approves the change, the enterprise zone will extend south down Lake Park Avenue to include the property where the Village Shopping Center currently sits. The only Hyde Park properties currently in the enterprise zone are at the corner of 47th Street and Lake Park Avenue. To build City Hyde Park, Silliman is requesting that the property be added to the enterprise zone that extends across the South Side as far west as Central Park Avenue and as far south as 123rd Street. You're not crazy, I agree with you, :haha: ! My whole point is that specific phrasing applies to numerous buildings. Technically yes, once it's done it will be the tallest building built in the US since the Sears Tower. Which I wouldn't because they only seem taller due to spires, and that shouldn't count. Unless you count the Conde Nast Building (1999) or the New York Times Building (2007) both in New York. Nothing in the US has been built that was taller than the US Bank Tower since the US Bank Tower was finished, but Trump will be taller (actually I think it already is). It would then have been the tallest building built in the US since the Sears Tower.Ī more accurate statement would be, the Trump Tower will be the tallest building built in the USA since the US Bank Tower, because that would be true. Then the US Bank Tower in Los Angeles, also build in 1989 (I'm assuming after the AT&T Corporate Center but I'm not sure). ![]() ![]() Take the AT&T Corporate Center in Chicago, it was built in 1989 and the tallest building built in the US since the Sears Tower. Numerous buildings would have held that title for a little while, but I'll focus on just two. I mean, other buildings have been built since the Sears Tower in the US that were "the tallest building built since the Sears Tower". What's so bad about Irvine I kind of like it there - the Spectrum (with the new parking structure you can finally find a parking space there), the clean well-maintained wide streets, the 50 mph speed limit on Alton, the pleasant lush landscaping, the bike paths. Speculation puts the height at somewhere close to 1,000 ft. We've seen the latest renderings of Related's planned mixed-use tower at 11th Avenue and 33rd Street in models and brochures. I understand that, it was just the phrasing of it. NEW YORK 35 Hudson Yards 1,039 FT 72 FLOORS. What matters is that out of all the skyscrapers built in this country since Sears was completed, Trump beats all of them in size. This *is* the tallest building built in the US *since* the Sears Tower. I don't know what's confusing about what he said.
